(The image came loaded on my computer, and is a frequent wallpaper of mine.)
I began this weblog in late July 2009. Many of my early posts remain, and one can note the great differences between earlier posts and more recent ones. I was much more inclined toward copying and pasting in the early months, but now I write almost everything. I have begun to write posts on certain subjects as some earlier ones then to delete the original, copied-and-pasted posts in question. (I have some Internet ghosts and dead links as a result, but they will fade away in time.) I intend, also, to revise many extant liturgical posts extensively or fully, leaving the post URLs in tact. These processes will certainly continue, with some older posts left as they are.
The contents of the weblog are varied, ranging from devotions to saints to poems to film and television episode reviews. The ecumenical calendar of saints’ days and holy days borrows from established ecclesiastical calendars, but I do not feel obligated to include a feast because a calendar features it, nor do I shrink from creating my own commemorations. And the lectionary-based devotions (mostly for Sundays–daily devotions live at sister blogs) provide opportunities to offer my thoughts about a wide variety of topics related to the Holy Scriptures.
This weblog, in brief, is my tapestry, a constantly evolving representation and expression of the variety which is me, a compendium of my soul, and the bub of my blog network.
Pax vobiscum!

Addendum II:
I have begun to revise, extend, and rewrite old entries for saints (beginning with September saints, until I conclude the process with August saints), as well as to enroll more saints in the Ecumenical Calendar.

Addendum III:
I have created a second spin-off blog, ADVENT, CHRISTMAS, AND EPIPHANY DEVOTIONS BY KENNETH RANDOLPH TAYLOR, which links off this site. Creating the initial posts is a simple matter of copying and pasting from this blog, but new material will be forthcoming. I have found a two-year weekday lectionary for the Epiphany Season and Ordinary Time from the Anglican Church of Canada.
Perhaps having a “separate channel” for some of the devotional material is a good idea. I plan to leave existing Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany devotional materials here, as well, but another avenue to it any future similar material cannot hurt.

Addendum IV:
Work on ADVENT, CHRISTMAS, AND EPIPHANY DEVOTIONS continues. I have decided to create LENTEN AND EASTER DEVOTIONS and work on it while I enter the final stage of ADVENT, CHRISTMAS, AND EPIPHANY DEVOTIONS for Year A (for Sunday purposes) and Year 1 (for Monday-Saturday purposes).

Today I have created the eighth blog, BLOGA THEOLOGICA, with seed material from SUNDRY THOUGHTS. The Calendar of Saints and my film and television reviews will remain at SUNDRY THOUGHTS, constituting the bulk of the material here.

So interesting. This helps me from becoming a menace.
